There are nearly 500 miles of road on the Isle of Wight, making it
easy to reach all parts of the Island when travelling by car or
bicycle.
Roads are generally quiet and wind their way through
delightful countryside, making driving on the Island a rare treat. If
you’re holidaying on foot, public transport with Island Line trains
and Southern Vectis buses provide an Island-wide network of routes.
There are also frequent bus services running to the many places
of interest, as well as coach tours to the Island's most popular
attractions from most resorts.
Trains on the Island operate in
conjunction with most sailings to Ryde, (except after 23.00 hours),
carrying passengers to Brading, Sandown and Shanklin. Buses and taxis
are available at both Ryde & Yarmouth.
