    Arreton Manor - one of the most important historic houses on the Isle of Wight and featured on Living TV's "MOST HAUNTED" on 31st May 2005.     Built c.1700 and still with its original wooden machinery, the windmill is the only one surviving on the Island. Breathtaking views of glorious unspoiled countryside. Conducted school groups and special visits March to end Oct (but not July or Aug), by written appointment. Small kiosk selling coffee and ice creams and souvenirs 2008: 15 March – 2 November: Tuesday to Sunday, 10am - 5pm last admission 30mins before closing (daily, Jul, Aug & Sep). Also open Easter Monday and May Bank Holiday Mondays. Closes dusk if earlier.

    Godshill Model Village is one of the oldest and most visited attractions on the Island. Hidden behind the Old Vicarage walls you will find the 11/4 acre gardens crammed with ornamental trees and shrubs, all carefully tended to provide the perfect backdrop for the models. The miniature houses, pubs and churches are exact replicas, frozen in time, of Godshill and Shanklin Old Villages. The little Islanders going about their business will appeal to anyone with an eye for detail – take your time and walk round at least twice to catch all the quirky extras!     A unique collection gathered from the earth and the sea. You can see the shell room, mineral room, animal room, aquarium, crown jewels and the gift shop where you can buy beautiful jewellery made from precious amd semi-precious stones from all over the world as well as gold and silver.     The superbly preserved remains of a third century Roman farmhouse are a hidden delight, just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Newport. The Villa has activities for all of the family with an audio guide, quiz sheet and ‘hands on’ education room. Come and dress and cook like a Roman, weave a blanket, make a mosaic or just sit and relax in our Roman style garden.

    The Lilliput Museum of Antique Dolls & Toys is acknowledged as being one of the finest and most important collections in Great Britain with over 2000 exhibits on display dating from circa 2000 BC to approximately 1945 AD.
