    The Junior Offshore Group is a club that organises offshore races for IRC yachts racing from the Solent. JOG races are typically intended to be completed in a weekend, including any return voyage. They also run an Inshore series of races which consist of races round marks in or near the Solent, again ending in a nearby port.

    All year round trips on the Newtown estuary to learn about the birds, the history of the area and visit the Manor House and gardens. The birds are at their best and most numerous from September until March. However, in the summer there are still many species to enjoy in addition to the stunning scenery and the beauty of the estuary. The boat "Whaup", a 17 foot Boston Whaler is kept at Shalfleet Quay. It is licensed to carry six passengers.
