Happy Camping... Sherrie (28)

We went to beeper farm about 2 years ago, we was also pitched up next to the play park, we had a great time we didn't want to come home, our children was upset when we set to go home, there was so much to do and the people was very friendly, we will go back and pick up from where we left of. Our children haven't stopped talking about there holiday at the Isle of Wight, so we cant wait to take them back.

Trip to see Grandma and Grandpa... David (5) and Rebecca (7)

We love going to see our Grandma and Grandpa Brian because they have squirrels in the garden at Waterlooville but best of all we like planting pea seeds in grandpas greenhouse.

Grandpa gave us sweet William plants to take home in daddies car to plant in our school garden.

Grandma is a good cook and we make apple pie in her house. Love David and Rebecca xxxx  [Top]

Surprise trip on the FastCat... Christopher (10) Southampton

We got the train from Southampton central, and my mum told me that we were going into Portsmouth to look around the shops. The train stopped at Portsmouth harbour and my mum saw the FastCat terminal and said "why don't we go down and have a look" so we had a look and my Mum lined up. I wondered why but I soon found out because she said "its good we've got a ticket then isn't it!". So we got on the FastCat, and it was a really nice smooth journey and my first time to! I'm really looking forward to next time we travel with Wightlink.  [Top]

Ferry watching... Eddie (11) Portsmouth

It was an interesting sight the other day. I saw all 4 "SAINT CLASS" (St Catherine, St Helen, St Cecilia & St Faith) vessels in Portsmouth. St Catherine was tied up and out of use in the Gunwharf lay-by berth, St Cecilia was refuelling at the odds and even pontoon opposite the FastCat terminal, St Faith was departing for Fishbourne, whilst St Helen berthed at the Gunwharf terminal to complete the scene! Visual differences between ships were very clear, particularly St Faiths headroom on the car deck against the older ships. I like the passenger facilities on-board the new flagship "St Clare".  [Top]

School trip to the Island...  Zoë (11) London

I went to the Isle of Wight on a 5 day school trip. We went on the Wightlink ferry and had our lunch on the beach, then we went to Flamingo park. The next day we went to the waxworks and Amazon world. The next day we went to Robin hill and loads of other cool places. We went to Sandown and walked back to the hotel. The next day we went to Blackgang chine and Carisbrooke castle. On the last day, we travelled back to Portsmouth after shopping in the town and we had our lunch on the ferry.
Thanks Wightlink!  [Top]

My holiday to the Isle of Wight... Kirsty (8) Essex

I caught the 3 o'clock ferry from Portsmouth. The ferry was called St Helen. I arrived at Fishbourne and continued down to our campsite. The campsite was called Beeper Farm. When we were about to get on the ferry the man stopped us, because the caravan is too tall for the ferry. We had to wait about 15 min's, while they lifted the middle floor with car's on. Our car and caravan was on the low deck along with lorry's and coach's. When we were on the ferry we were bouncing up and down because of the waves. I am looking forward to going again this year.

My day out on St. Clare the flagship...  Jacob (8) Fareham

I went to the Isle of Wight on the St. Clare. I went up on the deck on my own and saw Fastcat Shanklin leaving Ryde pier. When I got nearer the harbour I saw St. Catherine turning round. The captain waved to me. We got into our car and drove to Brading to see the waxworks. I didn't like it though. Next we visited the toy museum. We had a great day and went home on the St. Catherine back to Portsmouth. [Top]

From Gosport to Isle of Wight... Delaney (10)

My day on the Isle of Wight was fun. It was full of fantastic rides in Robin Hill and the maze in Blackgang Chine was the most fun of all. Osborne house was good, especially the rooms there. [Top]

A ticket to Ryde... Okesia (4) Southampton

I got on the fast cat and went to Ryde. It was good fun but it was very bumpy and scary. I bought a teddy bear from Ryde and sweets from the Kandi shop. The end.  [Top]

Wallabies, penguins and a very big crab... Callum (5) Dartford

We went to Portsmouth and we caught a ferry to the Isle of Wight. When we got to the Isle of Wight we went to the beach and we caught a very big crab. It was so big it kept trying to climb out of my bucket. So we took it back to our chalet to show my mummy, then we took it back to the beach and let it go in the water. We then went to Flamingo Park to meet my nanny Allan and granddad. At Flamingo Park we see lots of animals and my favourite animals were the wallabies and penguins. Lots of love Callum. Hope you enjoy reading this.   [Top]

From Birmingham... Tamara (10)

I came from Birmingham and was moving to the island my mummy, little brother and my 3 big sisters We came on the fast cat and got a taxi to Osborne heights. I ate a lot on the ferry as I was very hungry. I wore my Birmingham city football top and it was my Birthday so my mother had my birthday cake and candles!
When I got to the new house I had a party and the new neighbours came round with Jelly!
I have settled in well with the school after 4 months but I still visit the family back in brum!
THANK YOU WIGHTLINK FERRY  [Top]

A day on the Island... Mike

Best to travel early. We made the 8.00 from Portsmouth and had a huge new ferry almost to our self. Great view of the carrier USS Enterprise parked outside the harbour. Well in time for the start of a walk on the new RSPB reserve at Brading Marsh. After that a nostalgic lunch at the Buddle Inn. Do all Island eating establishments serve half a loaf of bread with the soup? Enough time to visit the national nature reserve at Newtown.
Made it home to South East London in time for the final of Euro 2004! Great day out.  [Top]

My Favourite Ferry company... Lewis (13) Redditch

I go to the IoW at least 3 times a year because we have relatives there but I always love going on the ferry more than anything on the holiday. Wightlink is my all time favourite ferry company we always use them because they are the best. I am now going to print of the ferry from this web site. Thank you Wightlink my favourite ferry company p.s. my favourite ferry is St Cecilia.   [Top]

My trip to Ryde  Francis (16) Portsmouth

I travelled on the Fastcat to Ryde and I thought it was really fun... Especially the way it bounced up and down on the waves.

Still once we got to Shanklin the weather was nice and I really enjoyed myself.

Thank you Wightlink [Top]

My trip to the Isle of Wight  Lewis (6)

Kerry and Rick went to my house and then they bring us to their house and then they took us to the Isle of Wight on a ferry.  And then when we got there they bringed us to a steam train station and then we went on the train.  Then we took some photographs with Captain Jim.  Then the train stopped and then we got off and moved into carriage 1, then the train began to move again, then we went off on our journey.  Then we stopped at Havenstreet, then we got off the train and went into Santa’s grotto to see Santa.  There was an elf that helped us, then Santa gave us a present, the present was a truck.  And then we went on a merry-go-round, then we went to the café and took a piece of cake with us in the car, so we could eat it on the ferry.  Then we went all the way back to England, then I had my face painted and then I went back home.

The end    [Top]
